There is also a no re-entry policy. Students leaving the dance may not return.  The dance will be chaperoned by LRMS and SMS 8th grade teachers and PAC volunteers.

Dress Code

With the nicer weather beginning, please be sure to remind your students of the dress code.  Dress code standards can be found in the District Student Body Handbook located here.

If your student is going to be absent or tardy to school for any reason, you can excuse them by calling the attendance line at 503-825-5810 or sending an email to:  Please remember that all absences must be excused within 48 hours of the absence.

If you are needing to excuse your student during the school day, please send them with a note. They will use that note to get out of class and come to the office to meet you. This is helpful to alleviate disruptions during the school day and also helps your student to be ready to meet you when you arrive. Also, please remember that you must sign students out in the main office. Thank you!

Cell Phones & Other Devices

Our electronic device rule is simple: “Off and away.” LRMS requires cell phones to be turned off and put away during all classes unless explicitly allowed by your classroom teacher. You may use electronic devices before school, during lunch and after school. A Cell phone may be confiscated if you are seen using it without permission during academic hours. Repeat offenders may have their phone confiscated, held in the office for parent pickup, and/or banned from being at school.

SHARE Center Community Open House

The Sherwood SHARE Center (Family Resource Center) is hosting an Open House on Thursday, May 30th from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.  The center is located on the Sherwood Middle School Campus in Portable #46.  Drop by to see the center and learn about the services it offers.
